Jessie Jones grew up in the prairies, spent a decade on Vancouver Island, and now resides in Montréal.

Her writing has been featured in CV2, filling station, Lemonhound, Minola Review, PRISM International, Prairie Fire, Upstairs at Duroc (FR), The Puritan, Arc, B O D Y (US), Poetry London (UK), long con magazine, MuseMedusa, and Carousel. 

The Fool, her full-length poetry collection, was published by icehouse press in 2020. Nix, her first chapbook, was published by Desert Pets Press in 2017.

The Fool was shortlisted for the 2021 Raymond Souster Award and a finalist for the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry. Her work has also been shortlisted for the Montreal Poetry Prize, the Malahat Review’s Far Horizons Award, Editor’s Choice in Arc’s Poem of the Year prize, and first-runner up in PRISM International’s Poetry Award.
